FERNANDO HERNANDÉZ RUIZ
Fernando, our latest VIP Guest Chef, was born in 1986 in Puebla, Mexico. After finishing his studies at the prestigious Culinary Institute of Mexico (ICUM), he travelled extensively, perfecting his unique contemporary style – not only in Mexico, but also in the USA and Europe.
In Spain he worked under the legendary Martín Berasategui at Lasarte, a 3* Michelin gastronomic paradise in Barcelona. From there he moved to the USA where he worked for the Hyatt group of luxury hotels. Like most culinary geniuses the desire to have his own place became ever stronger and stronger and in 2014 he opened Moyuelo in his home town in Mexico, and very soon it was to become one of the best restaurants in the country. Fernando has won many awards and accolades for his cooking prowess, and has even appeared on the front cover of Forbes magazine. It is our pleasure to share his beautiful talent with you!

Located in the heart of beautiful Prague, the U Kočků building is on Karlova Street directly on the walking route from Old Town Square to the Charles Bridge. Dating back to the 12th century, Karlova Steet, or Charles Street in English, connects Křížovnické náměstí and Malé náměstí. In Medieval times it was one of the region’s busiest thoroughfares, connecting the Old Town Square to the Prague Castle.
